Kodama Art Studio
Created by Ray Respall and Julián Alpízar, both grad students from the Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro, in Havana. There they specialized in Printing, but most of their recent work is Drawing and Painting.
The Studio is born from the idea of having a place to create, show, commercialize and debate the work of these two artists.
The name of the place comes from the creature Kodama, of the Asian Mythology, guardian of the forest and keeper of the balance in nature.
In a similar way these two Cuban Artists work to keep a balance between the existing ways of make Art possible and alive.
